CREATING SNAPACT ALBUMS

In this Tutorial, we will explain how you can create Snapact Albums within Snapact Photo Manager to easily organize your digital photos for quick searching and viewing, or to organize the photos that you would like to upload and synchronize with your Snapact Photo Sharing and Social Networking account (http://www.snapact.com)

So How Do You Create Snapact Albums?

One of the greatest features of Snapact Photo Manager is the ability to easily and quickly organize your collection of digital photos in Snapact Albums. So what is a “Snapact Album” and how do you create one?

First, you will need to download and install Snapact Photo Manager. The download shouldn’t take too long as the installer is quite small (currently 1.85 MB for v1.4), and when installed, Snapact Photo Manager is relatively light on system resources (current install size is 5.44 MB for v1.4).

Once you have installed Snapact Photo Manager and launched the software application, you will notice a box in the top left corner of the user interface titled “Albums” (Figure 1).

There are currently two ways to create a new Snapact Album:

1) right-click on your mouse within the Albums pane and a menu list will appear. Select “Insert Top-level Album” (Figure 2); or

 2) click on the menu drop-down in the title bar of the Albums pane and select “Insert Top-level Album”.

You can also create an album within an album (called sub-albums). To do this, you will first need to select the Album that you wish to insert a sub-album. Once you have selected an album, you can either right-click on the album or click on the Albums drop-down menu. A menu dialogue box will appear. Select “Insert Album”.

Once you have created a new Snapact Album or a sub-album, the “Snapact – Album Properties” pane with appear (Figure 3). This is where you can enter all the details about your Snapact Album :

  • Album Title/Name: Currently limited to 32 characters
  • Album Description: Currently limited to 255 characters
  • The option to select/queue the Album to be published the next time you click the “Sync” button.
  • The Album Privacy Settings (note that Album Privacy Settings will only appear once the “Publish Album” box is selected)

You can choose to enter Album information and details or you can leave it blank. Another great feature is the ability to edit your Album details at any time and update your published albums with a simple click of the “Sync” button.

Once you have completed your Album properties, click “OK” and your Snapact Album is now created. That’s it! Now the next step is to add photos to your Snapact Albums.
